Our aim is to provide high quality PE and Active Learning resources and training for schools so that all children develop a love of being active. We believe in developing and upskilling teachers so that they have the knowledge and confidence to deliver high quality, outstanding PE and active learning sessions.
What We Believe at Primary Level
At Primary Steps in PE we have a strong belief that sport is for all and that every child should have access to high quality PE and extra curricular sporting opportunities. Our mission is to provide education professionals with the skills and tools they need in order to become outstanding PE practitioners.
What We Do
Primary Steps in PE has developed a varied and innovative scheme of work which provides children with the opportunity to acquire new skills and develop existing skills that can be applied across a wide range of activities and sports. The scheme of work we have written aims to provide children with a solid base of skills and experiences which they can build on in order to give them a better chance of pursuing a healthy life through sport. As well as offering a scheme of work Primary Steps in PE offers a wide range of support for schools who wish to develop sport, PE, active learning and physical activity within their settings. We are experienced in delivering; whole school training in all areas of the PE curriculum, guidance with planning and assessment, staff mentoring and subject leader development. We are also keen to train and develop support staff and lunchtime supervisors so that everyone within school is able to contribute to the success of PE and sport in your setting.
